camel photo op

what traveler goes to egypt without a proper camel photo? giza is in the distance. pyramids were neat, a bit redundant after 6 hours though.

the passageway inside is very short and stinky and crowded. claustrophobes be warned.

minarets

another sepia-toned photo of islamic cairo, taken from the top of a minaret. for some reason color doesn’t quite accurately capture the feel of this place. the city was expansive, dusty, and had a peculiar weight to it. maybe that’s what happens when cities grow old.
